A little history of my father. He enlisted or was called up to serve in the Australia Army and underwent training at Greta Army Camp The dates of his service i do not know for certain but after the cessation of the second world war his services were no longer required and was discharged at Greta, during his time at the Greta Camp he meet my mother got themselves married and went and worked for the Post Master General ( PMG ) as a linesman. A few years later the marriage broke down and he moved back to his hometown of Geelong in Victoria. My father made little mention of his children who stayed in Greta to his kin in Victoria so nothing was really known by the Victorian side of his family. |
