Notes on the Homelite Kart Engines. Or interesting tit bit's Getting into the carburetors on my Homelite KL and KR 92's, I've come to realize that they are Brown 1-C5 carbs, and not Tillies. Do you know about the connection between Brown and Blitz? I think Wes Shoemaker told me the story or maybe it was Gary E? Tillotson sued Brown for some kind of patent infringement and won the case. Tillotson owned the patent for that type of carb. Brown saw that the outlook for them prevailing wasn't good so they quickly sold the Blitz Kart division before the trial to Wes and he had to take all the tooling, unfinished karts, new karts, tubing, everything and move it to his Ford, PA facility. Wes then produced them as Outlaw Karts.
