McCulloch PM1000 |
Well fellas some time back i managed to grab this 1978 -80 model PM1000 it's one
of three i have with one cactus so it has become the source of spares and with
a now spare cylinder for modding i can have a bit of fun and see if i can get this
baby to boogie. The PM1000 was built by Partner as a P100 @ 100cc but i have run the saw in a race and it definately needs the revs lifted as we could only get around the 11,500 rpm this is for a stock saw we would like to see around the 14,000 + figure if possible. Bore and stroke on the PM1000 is 56x40mm or 99cc The PM1000 shares no doubt a lot in common with the Husqvarna 1100CD 2100 and 2100XP. I believe Jonsered also had a model i think the 1020 @ 99cc that was very similier if not the same saw. Mc Bob. |

I have just finished a couple of hours work on the ports of the PM1000 reassembled
the saw started and run there's a nice lift in revs but the test will come in
the wood . |
The exhaust hasn't been raised but i did widen the intake and dog-eared them thereby
increasing the port area i have more to do but i like to check each step one
at a time. Mc Bob. |
