McCulloch SP125C Modifying the saw for "Visually Standard" Chainsaw races in the over 100cc class |
Not many Mac's competing nowdays but i'm sure that in the visually standard class
over 100cc the SP125 can still offer a lot to those who can or wish to shoehorn
a few bits together. |
The SP125C to be eliageble for entry into these classes under the proviso is to comply
with the stock appearance rule ; ie no pipe and everything including the
airbox cover must be as origional The saw has to be fitted with a chainbrake |

Well fellas it's done now to get it sorted and into the wood McBob. |
Another test run today and this baby humms Nothing sounds as good as an angry Mac 23 -1-2008 This is still the fixed head SP125c engine of 1977 |
See i told you's the Mac's were making a come back Pleasing results on first outing 18th May 2008 ..... Well fellas young Neil Onley got a win in the over 100cc visually standard saw race at Kendal 2008 with this saw. Good one Neil .... this saw has a lot more potential to come as it's only stock in the engine department. In Neils words this saw presents to the block as a well balanced saw with plenty of grunt. My own SP125c had ignition problems and wasn't raced ...... no spark. ( crook coil ) Now starts first pull. =================================================== Another win in the over 100cc visually standard at the Australian Nationals Nov 7- 8 th Dungog Show NSW.
